I remember what the peace was like before the violent farmer-herder conflict began.

There used to be camaraderie between farmers and herders. During the dry season, farmers would ask herders to live on the farms because the manure from the cows would rejuvenate the soil. During the rainy season, the Fulani herdsmen would disappear into the vast stretches of unfarmed land (bush) and you wouldn’t see them around farms.
